Cautionary Notes
Do not skip the Settings tab first: name, dates, URL, and support details should be finalized before launch.
Check date settings carefully: the experience will automatically go live and end based on the dates entered.
Be cautious with verified check-ins: if you enable verification, participants may need approval before earning points.
Hide sensitive content when needed: use the place content settings to keep offers or details hidden until after check-in.
Confirm tab order and default landing tab so participants land on the intended page.
Test sharing and registration flows before publishing to avoid broken links or confusing participant steps.
Review pricing and join code settings to ensure the intended audience can access the experience.
Tips for Efficiency
Start from the left side of the editor and move right to avoid missing required setup steps.
Use an existing collection or copy an existing passport to save time.
Reuse templates when the experience matches a common format like a bar crawl, food trail, or shopping passport.
Batch-edit place settings where possible instead of editing each location one by one.
Use drag-and-drop ordering for tabs, fields, and place lists to speed up configuration.
Preview the participant experience frequently to catch layout or content issues early.
Enable only the tabs and features you actually need to keep the portal simple for participants.
Use automated messages and share prompts to reduce manual follow-up and increase engagement.
