This article is about the Proxi admin app at app.proxi.co, and the experience editor released September 15, 2026. Not sure which you have? Open your experience's participation link, the one participants use. If it starts with app.proxi.co, this is the right article. If it starts with map.proxi.co, yours is a legacy experience; look for the legacy article instead.
Everyone who joins your experience is someone you can reach: a kickoff note the morning it opens, a nudge to the people who haven't checked in anywhere, the winners' announcement at the end. This all runs through the Messages area at the top of your experience.
Set It Up Once
The first time you open Messages, click Set Up Messaging. That creates an audience that keeps itself current: everyone who confirms their sign-up is added automatically, so you never import a list. From then on, the page lists your messages and a row of ideas at the top under Ideas For Your Next Message, like Kickoff Announcement, Nudge People Who Haven't Started, or Voting Closes Soon. Tap one and the message opens pre-written and, where it makes sense, pre-scheduled.
Sending to Some of Them
When you write a message, Only Send To narrows the audience. Add a condition, Has or Has Not, then pick: Checked In (at a number of places or more), Earned A Badge (any, or a specific one), Completed An Activity, Posted A Photo, Voted, Rated A Place, or Redeemed A Reward. Conditions stack. "Has Not Checked In at 1 or more places" is the classic mid-week nudge; "Has Earned A Badge: Clean Plate Club" is your finishers list.
Automatic Messages
Under the same audience you can set messages that send themselves: When Someone Joins, When Someone Earns A Badge, When Someone Checks In, When Someone Completes An Activity, and When Someone Votes. Each starts with a short default you can rewrite. Badge and check-in messages send once per badge or place, so nobody gets ten emails in an afternoon.
The Jump Back In Button
Every participant message can carry a Jump Back In button. On their usual phone it opens straight into their passport, which is why an evening reminder works so well.
Updates Inside the Experience
Messages go to inboxes. For news people see inside the experience itself, use the editor's Announcements tab: + Add post, a title, and your update. Participants see them on the Updates tab, newest first, with a marker until they've read them. Schedule changes on event day belong here; "we've added three new stops" belongs in both.
Good to Know
Email and text both work, if you collect phone numbers at sign-up. The Messaging card on the People view is a shortcut to the same place.
How sending, scheduling, and templates work is the same as everywhere else in Proxi. (See Sending Messages and Automatic Messages.)
Your monthly send allowance and top-ups apply here too. (See Your Monthly Message Limits and the Usage Meter.)
