This article is about the Proxi admin app at app.proxi.co, and the experience editor released September 15, 2026. Not sure which you have? Open your experience's participation link, the one participants use. If it starts with app.proxi.co, this is the right article. If it starts with map.proxi.co, yours is a legacy experience; look for the legacy article instead.
Activities are things people can do anywhere for extra points: snap a selfie, answer a trivia question, share the link, bring a friend. They aren't tied to a place, which makes them the easy way to keep people engaged between stops. Turn on Activities under Settings → Features & Tabs and an Activities tab appears in the editor.
Start From a Suggestion
The empty tab shows Suggestions: Snap a Selfie, Leave a Review, Share on Social, Show Your Receipt, Bring a Friend, Follow Us on Social, and Trivia Question. Hover one and click + Add, or click + Add activity for your own.
Setting Up an Activity
Each activity has a name, description, an icon, and Points. Then choose the Submission type, which is what the person sends you:
text — a written answer. Add a Correct answer and matching answers are approved automatically; anything else waits for your review. This is how you run trivia.
photos — a photo, like the selfie or the "wear something red" challenge.
url — a link, like their social post.
receipt — a receipt with the total, which counts toward spend badges once approved.
Two switches finish it off. Open for submissions lets you close one for now without losing anything people already earned. Count submissions right away puts it on the honor system, so points land instantly instead of waiting for you. When the Photo Feed is on, photo and receipt activities also get Show approved photos in the Photo Feed (on for photos, off for receipts by default).
Reviewing Answers
Anything that isn't auto-approved waits on the Participants & Activity → People page under Waiting for your review. Each row shows who, which activity, the points, and what they sent: the photo, the link, or their answer in quotes. If they said whether their photo can be shown publicly or used in marketing, that's noted too. Approve to award the points, or Decline.
What Participants See
The Activities tab lists each one with its points and a button: Add photo, Answer, Share link, or Add receipt. A right trivia answer gets "That's right! You earned 5 points." straight away; a photo that needs review shows Waiting for review until you approve it, then Done.
Good to Know
Want to ask something right after a check-in, at a specific place? That's a different tool. (See Asking People Something After They Check In.)
Rename the tab under Features & Tabs. For a trivia game, "Questions" reads better.
The participants tab only appears once you've added at least one activity.
