Sell a Seasonal Deal Pass With a Program

Call it a deal book, a downtown savings pass, a sip-and-save card, or a merchant coupon trail — this guide walks through selling a seasonal pass to member-business deals with a program.

Best for main streets and downtown associations turning member-business deals into revenue — a "Downtown Deal Book" people buy once for the season.

  1. Create a program named for the season — say Downtown Deal Book 2026.

  2. Add a cover photo and a description that lists a few of the best deals — this page is your sales pitch.

  3. On Who Can Join, click Add a LevelAsk for payment and set a one-time price ("$10 for the season").

  4. On What's Included, add your deals map and tick the paid level's pill on it. Add your parking or general downtown map too and leave it unticked — it reads Open to everyone, so the page is useful before anyone pays.

  5. On two or three teaser deals, turn on Show in Free Preview when editing the place — visitors see those pins before joining, which sells the rest.

  6. Put the join page link and a QR code on posters at participating businesses.

When someone buys, they're in your contacts and the program's audience — perfect for a "new deals just dropped" message mid-season.

Beyond the pass: the buyers list is the real prize. Mid-season, send your members a “three new deals just dropped” note from Audiences — it re-activates the pass and gives businesses a reason to stay in next year.
