Choosing What Shows on a Place's Card

Written by Melinda Haughey

This article is about the Proxi admin app at app.proxi.co.

Tap a pin and a card slides up. What's on that card is up to you: which details, in what order, which ones become buttons or pills. It's all one panel, and the preview next to it is your real map.

Where to Find It

Open your map from the Maps page and go to Point Card → Content. The panel is a picture of the card from top to bottom.

The Rows That Are Always There

The top of the card is pinned: Photo, Pills, Name, and Address. You can't drag them around, but each has a setting: which photo fields show and how they fit, whether pills sit at the Top or Bottom, and a switch to hide the address. Description sits just below and can be switched off too.

Details

Everything else lives in Details, in the order it appears on the card. Drag the handle on a row to reorder.

  • Add to Details opens a picker of every field that isn't on the card yet, with a search box. Fields are grouped by where they come from: Automatic (set by a sponsorship or membership package), Listing (your workspace's listing info, like hours or website), and Collection (fields on this map's collection, like a booth number).

  • Expand a row to tune it: rename it with Label on this map, tint it with Highlight, or turn a choice field into chips with Show as pill on point card.

  • Hide from card, at the bottom of the expanded row, takes it off. It's back in the picker whenever you want it again.

A listing field only shows on a card when that place is linked to a listing that has something in it, so an empty hours field never leaves a gap.

Buttons

Links, phone numbers, and emails can sit in the button bar at the bottom of the card instead of in the details. Add a Button lists just those fields. Expanding a button row lets you set its text, an icon, and a color. Other actions, like Get directions, live in the Actions tab.

Directories, Passports, and Scavenger Hunts

Their cards have the same panel with the same Add and Hide controls: Card → Content on a directory, Settings → Place Content on a passport or scavenger hunt. The order you drag there is the order the card uses. A passport or scavenger hunt also has an Unlocks after check-in section, with Add Something to Unlock, for details that stay hidden until someone has checked in.

Good to Know

  • Each map chooses its own card content, so two maps on the same collection can show different things.

  • The small tag on each row tells you where the information comes from. Change the information itself in your listings or in the collection's fields, not here.

  • Two more switches sit under Details: Also featured on, a strip linking to your other maps this place is on, and Upcoming events from the place's linked listing.
