This article is about the Proxi admin app at app.proxi.co.
Opening a Place to Edit It
Click the pencil on a place — on its card in the map editor, on its row in the Places panel, or on its row in the collection table. The edit panel slides in with everything about that place:
Name and address at the top. If the place is connected to a listing, shared info appears in a From the listing section — edits there can be saved to the listing (updating it everywhere) or for this collection only.
For this collection — the description and your collection's fields (category, dates, custom fields, photos). Click any row to edit it.
On this map — map-specific switches: Active on this map (visible to visitors) and Featured on this map (highlighted, drawn on top), plus the marker preview.
Click Save changes when you're done — nothing is saved until then.
Moving a Place on the Map
If a pin isn't quite where it should be:
Open the place and click Move on map (next to the address).
Drag the pin where you want it. Drag again to fine-tune.
Want to keep the original address text even though you moved the pin? Leave Keep original place info switched on. Turn it off if the new spot should become the address.
Tap Done, then Save changes.
Sharing an Edit Link
At the bottom of the edit panel, Copy secret edit link gives you a private link you can send to someone — like the business owner — so they can update just that one place without signing in. Only share it with people you trust to edit it.
Deleting a Place
Deleting happens from the list, not the edit panel: click the trash icon on the place's row in the map editor's Places panel, or use Select → Delete on the collection page for several at once.
One important thing: a place lives in your collection, so deleting it also removes it from every other map, calendar, challenge, or directory that uses the same collection. The confirmation reminds you of this, and it can't be undone. If you just want it off one map, use the Active on this map switch instead — the place stays in your collection but visitors won't see it there.
And if the place is connected to a listing you no longer want it tied to, that's not a delete either — open the place, click Change next to the listing name, and choose Unlink listing. The place stays; it just stops pulling the listing's info.
