This article is about the Proxi admin app at app.proxi.co.
Your sign-up form is a public page where a business can ask to be added to your listings. You share one link — in a newsletter, a welcome packet, on your website — and businesses fill it in themselves. Every submission waits for your review, and approving one creates the listing.
It's the fastest way to go from an empty listings table to a real directory without typing anything yourself.
Finding It
Go to Listings → Settings → Sign-up Form. It's already set up — there's nothing to create. You'll see:
Share link — the public address of your form, with a copy button next to it.
Edit the Form — change the questions, the wording, and what people see after they submit.
Preview — open the real form in a new tab and see exactly what a business sees.
What's on It to Begin With
The form comes ready to use, in four parts:
The Basics — Business Name and Address. Name is required.
About This Listing — Phone, Public Email, Hours, and Website. These are the questions that fill in the listing itself.
About You — their name and email, so you can follow up.
Two checkboxes at the end — whether they're the owner or a contact, and whether they'd like to keep the listing up to date once it's live.
The public title starts as "Join the Riverbend Main Street directory" using your workspace name, and the button says Submit for Review. All of it is yours to change under Edit the Form.
Adding Your Own Questions
Inside the editor you can add questions with Add field, or use one of the suggestions — How did you hear about us? and Anything else we should know? — with one tap.
One thing worth understanding, because it surprises people: questions you add this way are for your eyes only. You'll see the answers when you review the submission, but they aren't saved onto the listing afterward. If you want an answer to live on the listing itself, tick it in the listing questions section instead. The editor says so right where you add them.
When Someone Submits a Business You Already Have
If a submission looks like a business already in your listings, the form quietly asks the person Is this the same place? before they finish. If they say yes, their answers are attached to your existing listing as a suggested update, and any blank questions are pre-filled with what you already have — so they're correcting rather than starting over.
In your review queue those two arrive looking different: one is tagged New Listing, the other Listing Update. It's the difference between "please add us" and "you have us, but the hours are wrong."
Where Submissions Go
Everything lands in Listing Updates on your Listings page. Nothing is added automatically, no matter what the form says or who filled it in. See Reviewing Claims, Edits and New Listings.
Good to Know
Anyone with the link can fill it in — there's no sign-in first. The email they give you is how you follow up.
If they tick the box about keeping the listing updated, you'll see "wants to manage it" next to their submission, and approving can hand them the keys.
Put the link where businesses already look: your newsletter, your membership renewal email, the footer of your website, a QR code in a welcome packet.
The form is separate from a map's add-a-place form. This one builds your listings; that one adds pins to a specific map. See Community Submissions.
