1. When creating a new map, enter your desired focus area (country, state, or neighborhood) in the textbox provided. Your map will automatically update to highlight this location as your focus area.

2. For this example, I have chosen 'London, UK' as my focus area.

3. My map now opens with London as the center location.

4. Adjust the center and zoom level of your map by zooming in or out. You can do this using your mouse scroll wheel or by clicking the (+) and (-) buttons in the lower right corner. To pan to a specific location, simply click and drag the map to reposition it.

5. After setting your map to the desired center location, click the 'Set as New Default View' button to save this map position.
