Enabling Date OR Time & Date AND Time

Navigate to "Settings".

Click "Point Settings".

Toggle on "Enable Date and Time on Points".

This will let you enable date and/or time on each point. We will review how to use date or time and date AND time next.

Once you've toggled on Date/Time, click on a map point.

Click the edit button.

We will start with including time on points. The first thing we will review is adding a start time only.

Click the clock icon and enter your event start time. Then click "Update Point".

The time in the map point is how a start time appears on points.

Next we will talk about showing an end time. To show an end time, toggle on "Show End Date and Time".

To edit the start and end time, click on a map point.

Click the edit button.

Toggle on "Show End Time".

Add your end time.

Click "Update Point".

This is how a start and end time appear on points.

Next we will review showing only dates. If you wish to only show dates, toggle on "Show Date Only".

Click the edit button on a map point.

Map points can have an end date, but it isn't necessary.

If the associated date/time is only for one date, just set the start date but do not toggle on the end date.

Click the start date.

Click "Update Point".

This is how a singular start date appears on map points.

If you would like to show an end date on the point, toggle on "Show End Date".

Set an end date.

Click "Update Point".

This is how a start and end date appears on points.

Next we will go over how to show both date and time. To show both, ensure "Show Date Only" and "Show Time Only" are toggled OFF.

Next, click the edit button on a map point and adjust desired start and end dates and times.

When you're done, click "Update Point".

This is how date and time displays on a map point.

You can make an event appear as all day by toggling on "All Day".

Then click "Update Point".

This is how an "All Day" point appears.

Hiding Past Events

In some cases you will want past events to appear on the public version of the map. Maybe this map is showing historical events or a timeline. In this case you'll want to leave "Show Past Events" toggled on.

In some cases you will want past events to disappear on the public version of the map. In this case, you'll want to toggle off "Show Past Events".

If the dates are in the past, the events will disappear from the public version of the map. Here, I am demonstrating a past date for the point labeled "3".

The map point has disappeared from the map.

The map viewer will click the calendar icon at the upper left of the map.

Map Viewers will click "On Specific Dates".
