This article is about the Proxi admin app at app.proxi.co.
You can flip the Public switch on one item at a time, or review everything in your workspace in one place. (Not sure what Public does? See Public or Hidden: Choosing What Search Engines and AI Tools Can Find.)
See Everything at Once: What's Public
Open Settings and choose the What's Public tab, then click Review. You can also click Review What's Public on the Did You Know? card on your Dashboard, if it's showing.
Your published maps, directories, calendar groups, experiences, and programs are listed by type, each with its own switch.
Flip any switch, or use Turn All On or Turn All Off for a whole group. Changes save as you go.
At the top you'll see your workspace name and logo, since they appear with your public items in search results and AI answers. Click Edit to update them in a new tab.
A row with a lock can't be made public: Members only means it's behind a program, and On hold by Proxi means our team has paused it.
About the Did You Know? Card
The card shows on your Dashboard when some of your published items are hidden, so you can decide on purpose. Click Dismiss if you're happy with how things are. It only comes back if you publish something new that's hidden. When everything is Public, you won't see it at all.
One Item at a Time
What | Where the switch is |
Map | In the map editor, click Share in the top bar. Or on the Maps page, open the ⋮ menu on the map's card and choose Share. |
Directory | In the directory editor, click Share in the top bar. |
Calendar group | On the Calendar page, click Share and open the Public tab. Each group has its own switch. You'll also find it when you create or edit a group. |
Passport, Scavenger Hunt, Guide, or Best Of | In the experience editor, click Share. |
Program | In the program editor, click Share. |
Calendar Groups Work a Little Differently
Each event group has its own switch. Turning a group off keeps that group's page and its events out of search, but its events still show on your full calendar for visitors. So you can keep a "Volunteer Shifts" group out of search while your "Downtown Events" group is easy to find.
Keeping the Search List Off Your Website
When a Public map, directory, or calendar is embedded on your website, we add a short list of its places or events to your page for search engines. Visitors don't see it. If you'd rather leave it out on one page, add data-seo="off" to the embed tag:
<proxi-map data-id="…" data-seo="off"></proxi-map>
The same works on <proxi-directory> and <proxi-calendar>. If your page already tells search engines not to index it, we leave the list off automatically.
