  • Select the field that should determine the main list order.

  • If points are numbered, use point number as the primary sort.

  • Choose the field that best matches how the map should be organized for users.

3. Add secondary sorts when needed 0:25

  • If one sort is not enough, add additional sort levels.

  • Example: sort by category first, then by name within each category.

  • Continue adding sort criteria as needed to create the desired order.

4. Apply sorts to any relevant map field 0:39

  • You can add a sort on any available field in the map.

  • The selected sort changes the order of items shown in the map list.

  • Review the list after applying the sort to confirm it displays correctly.

5. Check for featured points before finalizing 0:50

  • Confirm whether any points are marked as featured.

  • Featured points always appear at the top of the list, regardless of other sort settings.

  • If a featured point is not appearing as expected, verify its featured status first.

Cautionary Notes

  • Featured points override all list sorting. If a point is featured, it will always move to the top.

  • Make sure the chosen sort field matches the intended user experience.

  • If multiple sorts are used, confirm the order of priority is correct (primary sort first, secondary sort second).

Tips for Efficiency

  • Use point number when items are already numbered to keep the list intuitive.

  • Use a simple sort structure first, then add secondary sorts only if needed.

  • After saving changes, quickly scan the list to confirm the order looks correct.

  • If the list seems incorrect, check whether featured points are affecting the result.
