Revenue in Passport Events benefits the user because it turns their event into a self-funding or even profit-generating activation. By charging for participation or inviting donations, organizers can:
Offset event costs — cover expenses like marketing, prizes, and staffing.
Fund future programs — reinvest earnings into additional events or community initiatives.
Increase perceived value — when people pay to join, they’re often more committed and engaged.
Support local causes — donations can go directly to nonprofits or community projects, building goodwill.
Create a new income stream — especially for organizations running recurring events.
In short, it’s not just about running a fun community challenge — it’s about making the experience sustainable and impactful without relying solely on outside funding.
